Unsubly — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 August 2026 · Version 1.4.0
Unsubly collects, transmits and sells nothing. No account, no server, no analytics. Everything happens inside your own browser, on the Gmail tab you already have open.
1. Data we collect
None. The extension uses no analytics, no tracking code, no cookies and no external network requests. The developer has no access to user data, because there is no server for it to reach.
2. What is stored on your device
The following is kept only in your own browser, in Chrome's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local):
- The email addresses of the senders you protected with keep.
- Your chosen interface language.
- What should happen when Gmail cannot unsubscribe from a sender: skip, block the sender, or open the sender's site.
None of it is sent to any server. If you have Chrome profile sync enabled, Chrome may replicate local extension data across your own devices under Google's terms; the extension neither requests nor controls that. Removing the extension deletes the data.
3. What is never stored
- Message contents, subjects and attachments.
- Your email address and Google account details.
- Your browsing history, or anything on any page other than Gmail.
- Any record at all of senders you did not explicitly protect.
4. Permissions and why
storageTo keep your protected senders, your chosen interface language and your fallback preference on your own device.
https://mail.google.com/*To draw the panel on the Subscriptions page, read the sender rows Gmail has already rendered, and press Gmail's own unsubscribe button for the senders you selected.
No other permission is requested. Runs only on Gmail's Subscriptions page (mail.google.com).
5. Blocking a sender
If you turn on block sender, Unsubly presses Gmail's own Block control for you. The block is created and held by Gmail, not by Unsubly; the extension creates no filters or rules of its own and stores nothing about it.
6. No remote code
Every line of JavaScript is inside the package. No external scripts, no eval(), no new Function(). The only files read at runtime are the extension's own bundled translation files — data, not code.
7. Third parties
There are none. No data is sold, shared or transferred, because none is gathered. Data is not used to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes either.
8. Deleting your data
Removing the extension from Chrome deletes everything it stored on your device. There is no request to send us: we hold no copy.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version is published at this address with a new date at the top.
