What wastes the most time when you get a website made is the questions whose answers are only looked for after the work has begun: "Which pages were we going to have?", "Where are the photos?", "Who had the password for the domain?" If you prepare the 10 items below before the meeting, the quote gets clearer and your site goes live sooner.
1. One goal for the site
What do you expect from the site? Quote requests, phone calls, WhatsApp messages, visits to your shop? Pick one main goal. The layout of the pages and the buttons are built around it.
2. The questions your customers ask
Which questions do you hear most often on the phone? "How much is it?", "How long does it take?", "Which areas do you cover?" The list of these questions is the most valuable content on the site. It persuades customers and helps you get found on Google and in AI search.
3. A list of pages
Home page, services or products, your work, about you, contact. Does each of your services deserve its own page? Draw up the first draft yourself, and we'll refine it together.
4. Real photos of your work
Photos of your own work, your team and your premises build much more trust than stock images. Collect them even if they were taken on a phone; they can be edited to the same light and colour.
5. Logo and colours
An editable file of your logo (SVG, AI or a high-resolution PNG) and the colours you use. If you don't have these, we add them to the scope too.
6. Example sites
2–3 sites you like and don't like. Short notes such as "I like how simple this one is" or "that one is too crowded" set the direction of the design very quickly.
7. Domain and logins
Do you have a domain, whose name is it registered in, and who has the password? If you have an existing site, the hosting and admin panel details. The domain must be in your name.
8. Contact channels
Which phone number, which WhatsApp line, which email address? Who should messages from the form go to? These decisions affect every button on the site.
9. Legal information
Company name, address, tax details. You need a privacy notice and a KVKK text (Turkey's personal data protection law), cookie information and, if you are going to sell, a distance sales contract.
10. After launch
Who will make updates once the site is built? Prices will change, new products will come, the certificate will expire. Talking about this at the start keeps the site from going stale after a few months.
In short
You don't have to fill in this whole list; even half of it speeds things up. We complete whatever is missing together at the meeting. In our business website service we pin down the scope and process with a written quote.
Frequently asked questions
Should I write the texts myself?
You don't have to. You know your business best, so even short notes help a lot. We turn those notes into plain, readable texts and send them to you for approval before launch.
Whose name should the domain and hosting be in?
Yours. The domain is your business's address; it should stay with you even if you change agencies. Sharing the login details securely is enough.
What if I don't have any photos?
That's fine. We can plan a shoot, or edit the phone photos you have to the same light and colour. Real photos of your work build much more trust than stock images.
