Erkan Özcan

A director’s site you scroll like a film.

What we did

Erkan Özcan directed two feature films released in 2024 and also writes for other directors. Before that he worked on set and made short films and documentaries. A list of credits would flatten that path; the site had to tell it in order, the way a film is told.

A timecode along the bottom

On the site, scrolling moves a playhead through six scenes of his career; the third one rewinds to 2012.

How we did it

Step by step.

  1. 01

    Timecode

Six scenes in the order of his career; a timecode and an edit timeline run along the bottom as you scroll.

  2. 02

    Films

Each feature gets a scene with its credits and trailer, and a page of its own: four film pages.

  3. 03

    Documentaries and ads

Documentaries, a music video and ad films side by side, each with where to watch it.

  4. 04

    Photographs

His photographs from Anatolia open in a viewer, each with its place and date.

  5. 05

    Credits

The story ends with a credits roll of the people he worked with, then a plain filmography for a quick look.

Why we did it this way

Because the typical way loses customers.
